NEW LOW ENERGY HOUSE IN CHIPPING CAMPDEN

Hide project details

The design of this recently completed five bedroom house in Chipping Campden was informed by the shape of the site and the requirement to face the roof mounted solar panels due south.

The house is highly insulated and achieved an air tightness to Passivhaus standards with the low energy demand enhanced by battery storage of solar created electricity and a backup air source heat pump system.

The house blends contemporary design and materials with traditional semi dressed local stone and easily gained planning permission due to the quality of design and sustainability credentials.

The bespoke curved staircase was created and installed by Waywood (www.waywood.co.uk) and photos are by Charlie Birchmore (www.birchmore.co.uk).
